Liverpool are making quite a few headlines this summer with their signings but the latest update ensures they are backing out of an expensive transfer.
The Reds have so far spent over €166 million on transfers with the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s replacement Jeremie Frimpong, German wonderkid Florian Wirtz and Puskas academy goalkeeper Armin Pecsi.
With a few more signings remaining incomplete, the Merseyside giants intend on spending more with the impending signing of Milos Kerkez and if possible, a striker due to the potential exit of failed striker Darwin Nunez.
Richard Hughes and his associates have been able to identify a few players who can replace the likely outbound Uruguayan international.
And this latest update concerns the Premier League champions’ pursuit of a striker.

According to a report published in the British media outlet The Telegraph, Liverpool are nowhere nearer to signing Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak.
The report claims, “There has been no contact with Liverpool.
Eddie Howe’s side also has no intentions of letting him go at present.
In terms of the Anfield side, they have recently completed their club record transfer by signing Wirtz and completed other signings and are yet to sign a few other players.
Complying with the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), LFC will not be permitted to spend the huge money even if they were ready to splurge the sum.
Taking in account all the factors, the decision to not purchase Alexander Isak looks sensible for Liverpool.
